I’m thrilled to have been invited again for this exhibition displayed in the wonderful restored Great Hall at the Arts Centre.
Combining my Amazons and birds, I will have 3 bird women.
Bird women are legendary hybrid creatures appearing in myths and folktales in many cultures.
Often seen as portraying evil, contrasting stories however show her in protective roles or associate her with music and love
My take on this is that the macho world feels threatened by mentally powerful women and therefore see her as ugly or evil.
Arts Across Aotearoa Show

Spreading my wings, I will be trying this event in Queenstown. I will be there with my Amazons and Bird sculptures, hoping it will be as successful as the Christchurch one!

Cystic Fibrosis Christmas Tree Festival 2025

A fundraiser for the CF Association, not a sale. The sponsored and decked out trees bring joy to the community and raise much needed funds. Porcelain decorations will adorn “my” tree.
