I am gearing up for the February weekend.  I will have all the old favourites as well as some brand new pots, hot from the kiln!

 Other events lined up:

The Martinborough Fair: Saturday 2 March (site QW 81, opposite the Martinborough Hotel)

The NewtownFair: Sunday 3rd March

Open house – November 25 & 26 2012

My twice-yearly open weekend is coming up in a couple of days.

I will have some excellent pots, functional and decorative, pots hot from the kiln ( I hope), many mediocre pots, and a veritable graveyard of pots for the garden injured mainly in transit, lovingly restored that I’m willing to part with at bargain prices.

For those of you who already own a pot, are saturated, or make your own, guest exhibitors Angie McLeod and Russell Dear will have some wonderfully arty and different photographic views of Wellington on photo blocks or larger canvasses.

Come and do your Christmas shopping early!

Woolshed Cash’n Carry Sale

The Woolshed Potters,  who are based at the Gear Homestead in Porirua, have their annual Cash’n Carry Sale during the first two weekends of December.  My work will be for sale there, along with that of the rest of the club members.  Go along and get your hands on some beautiful handcrafted individual pieces,  they’re great for Xmas presents, and also for yourself. Pottery sales are from the Red Barn at the Gear Homestead, Okowai Road, just off Whitford Brown Drive in Porirua.

Open two weekends in a row:

  • Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th December
  • Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th December
  • 10.00 am – 5.00 pm

Also, while you’re out there, take the time to explore the Gear Homestead. Peter Jackson filmed much of Bad Taste in and around the homestead.

Potting around on the internet

You might think that pottery and the Internet are not natural companions – but we’re aiming to change your mind with this site. Aimée makes the pots, and Joanna makes the internet stuff go. We think it works well.
